Take a Scenic Gondola Ride up Mammoth Mountain to explore all the fun at 11,053 ft. At the top, snap a selfie at the summit sign, enjoy lunch with panoramic views at the Eleven53 Café, and discover the history and wonder of the Sierra at the interpretive center. Make it a one-way trip – just top-off your water bottle and head back down on foot for a rewarding hike. Kids 12 and under ride free.

The Mammoth Lakes Basin is a family favorite destination for hiking, biking, fishing and more. Just a few miles up Lake Mary Road lies endless exploration. The first destination is Twin Lakes, sitting beautifully at 8,500 feet with Mammoth’s own shore-side Tamarack Lodge as an option for lodging, fine dining, camping and fishing. Continue up the road on one of the paved bike paths and you’ll find Lake Mary, Lake Mamie and Horseshoe Lake.

DEVILS POSTPILE

The majesty of Reds Meadow and Devils Postpile National Monument lie just over the shoulder of Mammoth Mountain in the San Joaquin River Valley.  In order to preserve this magical place, all visitors pay a small fee to ride a convenient shuttle to Devils Postpile, Rainbow Falls and other sights along the middle fork of the San Joaquin River. Tickets for the shuttle are available at the Adventure Center.
